Knesset Speaker Yoel (Yuli) Edelstein spoke on Tuesday at a festive Knesset debate in honor of the Knesset’s 67th anniversary.
“Millions of citizens send their elected officials to this site, and it seems that over and over they are disappointed. Beyond singular events, there seems to be something in the air that we must purify.”
Edelstein added that the country’s citizens are “upset about the manner in which debates take place, and how elected officials conduct and express themselves during broadcasts and in reports.”
