Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has announced that the Turkish air force attacked ISIS targets in Iraq and Syria, and killed more than 200 of the group's fighters.
According to Davutoğlu, the strike was in response to a suicide attack in Istanbul last week, which left ten people dead.
He did not give any information about civilian casualties, nor on measures taken to avoid harming non-combatants.
