MK Miki Zohar (Likud) has praised Tel Aviv mayor Ron Huldai for the latter's support of closing businesses on Shabbat.
"I congratulation Ron Huldai on his statement. It was a brave, respectful, and reasonable comment from a public figure," said MK Zohar. "Now the only thing left is the issue of transportation on Shabbat. With that, we can bring about the desired change."
He added: "Over the coming days I intend to speak with members of the coalition about transportation on Shabbat and to propose a real solution for the issue - which will benefit all Israeli citizens and also the important social value of a day of rest."
