South African Oscar Pistorius has applied to appeal his murder conviction, AFP reports.
Pistorius rose to fame for competing in the 2012 Olympics as a sprinter, even though doctors amputated both of his legs when he was less than a year old.
More recently, he was found guilty of murder for shooting and killing his girlfriend through a bathroom door.
