MK Zehava Galon responded to the fire at the B’Tselem organization’s offices on Facebook, prior to rescue teams' estimation that it was caused by an electrical shortage.
“I hope that we discover that the fire was not caused by arson. Right now, too many signs indicate that it was. If B’Tselem’s offices were truly attacked by arsonists, then the arsonists must have justly felt that they had the government’s support. You can burn the office, the paperwork, the archives, but you can’t burn B’Tselem down.”
