Workers with the Airport Authority's coordination center have begun an extensive strike even though the Histadrut, the country's largest labor union, has not given its approval to declaring a labor dispute.
A statement from the Airport Authoritiy administration says that it intends to appeal to the courts within the next few hours, in an effort to stop the strike, which it claims would harm travelers and the public.
