The government has unanimously approved the appointment of Buki Carmeli to head the National Cyber Defense Authority.
"Carmeli is a reasonable and experienced person, with many deeds to his name. He is known throughout the cyber field, both for his defense activities and his civilian activities," said Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
He added: "Though we are a leader in cyber, we must continue to run forward. During this ear, we must make preparations for national and personal security. This threat is very large, and appropriate preparation is critical. Every country looks to us in this field. We must prepare a unified cyber defense in order to deal with these threats."
