Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon responded on Monday to negotiations with the Histadrut labor federation following the declaration of a general strike of the economy as of next Wednesday.

“The Histadrut’s declaration of a strike in the midst of negotiations is completely extraneous and will hurt the greater public. There is no reason or need to punish the citizens of Israel via the Histadrut’s decision to call a strike at the height of negotiations,” Kahlon said.
