China's Foreign Ministry says that it will invite members from both the Syrian government and rebel groups to Beijing in order to advance the peace process.
A Ministry spokesperson said that the invitation will go out "soon," and referenced Foreign Minister Wang Yi's remarks at the United Nations this past weekend.
The spokesperson added that China is trying to make a positive contribution to resolving the crisis.
