The IDF has recently finished a large-scale surprise exercise. The exercise was carried out by the Southern Command and began this morning (Wednesday).

A senior officer in the general staff says that "The exercise dealt with two sectors: one near Gaza and the other in the southern Arava and Eilat. It covered cities including Sderot and Eilat, as well as agricultural communities."

The exercise tested how well ground, air, and sea forces work together with the General Security Service (GSS, also known as Shin Bet or Shabak).
