A US marine has been found guilty of killing a woman after discovering that she was transgender.
The incident took place in the Philippines, when Lance Corporal Joseph Pemberton met Jennifer Laude at a bar, then took her up to a hotel room. Pemberton will receive six to 12 years in prison for the crime.
The incident led to increased tensions between the two countries.
