The Political-Security Cabinet is holding an intensive discussion about the possible collapse of the Palestinian Authority, and how Israel should handle such an event, Haaretz reports.
A senior official who took part in the discussion says that several Cabinet ministers claimed the PA crisis is likely to serve Israeli interests and so there is no compelling need to prevent it from happening.
Additionally, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is reported to have called a meeting following the failed visit of US Secretary of State John Kerry to the region on Tuesday.
