MK Basel Ghattas has called for banning Zionism and called Israel a "fascist state." In response, Im Tirzu has demanded that MK Ghattas be barred from the Knesset.
Earlier today (Sunday), Im Tirzu's subgroup "The Zionist-Democratic Guard" sent a letter to the head of the Knesset ethics committee, MK Yitzhak Vaknin (Shas), in which it called for banning MK Ghattas from the Knesset due to his comments.
Ghattas made his remark in response to the Political-Security Cabinet's decision to outlaw the northern branch of the Islamic Movement.
