The Foreign Ministry will summon one of its workers in the embassy in Britain to explain his recent conduct. Ishmael Khaldi, the used his Facebook account to criticize the Israeli government's actions.
Foreign Ministry Director Dore Gold explained that Khaldi's comments are not reasonable for an Israeli diplomat. Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) added that "Ministry workers must represent the government and not attack it. If the comments were made, we will consider what steps to take."
Khaldi is the first Bedouin diplomat in the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
