Jerusalem showed its solidarity with Paris Sunday night at a special rally held in Safra Square, outside City Hall, where Mayor Nir Barkat, Chief Rabbis Shlomo Amar and Arye Stern, and other officials from Israel and France expressed their horror at the Friday terror attacks in Paris, and said that Israel would stand by France in her time of trouble.
“As the waves of terror cross oceans and continents, the world now understands what we experience here in Israel,” said Barkat. “We need to stand as a united, solid front against the terror groups. The blood drawn here by terror and blood drawn in Paris, in the Hevron Hills is all the same. The world must united and fight the terrorists, for the sake of our value.
