The Knesset approved the first reading of a bill that would expand the powers of the Ethics Committee and enable it to revoke an MK’s wages in the event of a serious ethical breach.
The wages will be revoked for a period or part of a time period during which the Knesset member will be barred from Knesset discussions or committees.
