The charity Jamaat-ud-Dawa has received praised for its recent assistance to earthquake survivors in Pakistan, but Reuters reports that the organization is classified as a front for terrorism by the United Nations.

About 2,000 volunteers from Jamaat-u-Dawa have been working alongside the military to help areas stricken by the earthquake on Monday, suggesting that US and UN sanctions against the group are not having a strong impact.

The Pakistani government has not commented on the issue.
