MK Yitzhak Herzog responded on Tuesday evening to the decision to cancel benefits given to communities on the front lines and claimed that when it is convenient, the government “makes promises and takes pictures in the Negev and in the Galilee. But when push comes to shove, time and again, the government fails to fulfill its promises.”

“The sorry decision to take back tax benefits from cities on the front lines of battle in the Negev and in the Galilee is a harsh blow to the development of those areas. I, as well as my fellow faction members, stand wholeheartedly alongside the heads of the cities and local councils in the north in this just battle,” Herzog posted on Facebook.
