A package containing the remains of a woman arrived at Ben Gurion International Airport from Russia on Tuesday morning. The package was not labeled and was not accompanied by the necessary permits.
After hours of hard work on the part of ZAKA, the woman’s identity was discovered and her family was located. The woman passed away 11 days ago and was sent to Israel for burial via airmail, as per the deceased’s final wishes.
The Foreign Ministry is helping the deceased’s family obtain the necessary permits so that she can be buried in Israel.
