President Reuven Rivlin met on Tuesday with Vice President and Foreign Minister of Panama, Isabel Saint Malo de Alvarado. Rivlin said that "We appreciate greatly the great friendship and understanding between our two countries, even when we agree to disagree."
The Vice President thanked the President for his warm welcome and said, "This is my first time in Israel and I am grateful to you and to all the Government of Israel for the warm welcome I have received. Israel is a beautiful country so full of history which one can always learn about, but it is another thing to be here and experience it firsthand."
She noted, "We are proud of our bilateral relations which are stronger than ever. We are also working to establish direct flights between Israel and Panama as a key way to strengthening our cooperation."
