Two suicide bombers killed 42 people and wounded more than a hundred in Nigeria on Friday, the New York Times reports.
The first attack occurred in the northeastern regional capital of Yola, at the inauguration of a new mosque. The explosion killed 27 and wounded 96.
The second attack, also at a mosque, hit the northeastern city of Maiduguri and killed 15 people.
No one has claimed responsibility, though the attacks are similar to those carried out by Boko Haram. Furthermore, the jihadist group originated in Maiduguri.
