During a recent political-security meeting with the Cabinet, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu made a notable statement about the future of Jerusalem.
"We cannot continue with the present situation in Palestinian neighborhoods outside of the barrier," said Netanyahu. Instead he proposed "considering revoking the blue identity cards for the residents."
This is the first time since 1967 that a Prime Minister has suggested dividing eastern and western Jerusalem.
