Supermarket chain Rami Levy will sell challot for only one shekel this Friday, while rival chain Supercofix will sell a bottle of wine and a challah for five shekels.
The deals are to encourage the "International Shabbat Project," which takes place this weekend. The project calls for Jews around the world to observe Shabbat as a show of solidarity.
