A Palestinian man was arrested over the weekend, after he tried to smuggle more than 1,500 ecstasy pills into Israel. The suspect is described as about 40 years old and from Hevron.
The man entered Israel from Jordan, through the Allenby Bridge. At the time the pills were hidden on his legs and in his underwear. When he was searched, authorities found the pills and began a drug investigation.
