MK Erel Margalit (Zionist Union) on Sunday asked Finance Committee chairman MK Moshe Gafni to hold an urgent debate on the economic effects of the current wave of terror on the Israeli economy.

"The reports I have been receiving from businesses across the country and in Jerusalem in particular say there is a drop in revenue in commerce," wrote Margalit to Gafni. ''This means that there is a danger to the existence of tens of thousands of businesses that have not yet recovered from Operation Protective Edge."

"I believe that the government should immediately introduce a series of measures to support the affected businesses, since as far as these businesses are concerned, there is no difference between missile terror and knife terror," he added.
