The Yesha Council responded to statements made on Tuesday by Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ya’alon during their visit to the Samaria Territorial Brigade base.
“In these complex time, when the ‘settlements’ face attacks and cope with great strength amid the harsh sights, bereaved families and more, we expect the Prime Minister and Defense Minister not to criticize or vilify the ‘settlements.’ Our battle is one of responsibility and so that is how it is being waged.”
“It is up to the Prime Minister and Defense Minister to stop leniencies towards the PA, who enable the horrible attacks, and renew construction instead of yet another freeze, which projects weakness and invites terror into Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.”
