Takaaki Kajita and Arthur McDonald have been announced as the winners of the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics. The two discovered the method by which neutrinos switch their "flavors."
Neutrinos are nearly massless subatomic particles that are notably difficult to study. Kajita and McDonald conducted their research while the former was in Japan and the latter in Canada.
The winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry will be announced tomorrow (Wednesday).
