Education Minister Naftali Bennett (Jewish Home) has announced that he will spend tonight's (Sunday) holiday in Jerusalem's City of David, Old City, and the Kotel.
Bennett wrote to party members, "Friends. These are difficult holidays. The hatred of Jews has existed since the dawn of history. The enemy changes, we remains, and we will succeed with our heads up. We have come up with a clear security program in the past few days, and we will will enforce it in the proper forums."
He added, "During Simhat Torah I will go to Jerusalem, to the Kotel, the Old City, and the City of David to celebrate the holiday, to support, to listen, and most of all to stay strong. I am calling on everyone who can to come. For thousands of years, in every place they could be found, Jews prayed to celebrate the next year in rebuilt Jerusalem. We have achieved that goal, and we will never give up it. Happy holiday."
