MK Eitan Broshi (Zionist Union) called on Monday for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to intervene in the current shortage of fresh agricultural products in Israeli supermarkets.
"This is a national crisis, and the lack of fresh produce is only a preview to the crisis that will follow after the government passes the state budget and Economic Arrangements Law," Broshi charged. "Citizens will not have fresh produce because someone is strangling Israeli agriculture."
