French police have closed the Eiffel Tower to visitors due to concerns over a terror suspect. The suspect was described as a man with a "large backpack" inside of the tower.
Anti-terror units were brought in, including a helicopter. The man has not yet been found.
Police say that the man may be an extreme sport enthusiast who intends to parachute off of the tower. "It’s happened in the past," police say. "The parachutist hides his kit the night before, and then gets into the tower and jumps off, while videoing."
ISIS, al-Qaeda, and other terror groups have threatened to attack the popular landmark.
