Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a special greeting card to his country’s Jews in honor of Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year). The card was received by the Chief Rabbi of Russia, Rabbi Berl Lazar.
“I would like to bless the Jews of Russia in honor of their New Year. Rosh Hashanah is not just a tribute to the spiritual and historical inheritance of your forefathers that is more precious than gold. In these days it is customary for everyone to take stock of the moral results of their actions, plan good deeds, forgive and get rid of grievances.”
