An annual Health Ministry report on the country’s health care providers (kupot holim) found that all four kupot are in billion shekel deficits.
Health Minister Yaakov Litzman said in response to the report that “We are concerned by the deficits that threaten the stability of the system. We have decided… to systematically deal with the phenomenon of a lack of resources and distorted budgeting.”
