The German government has announced that it will set aside an additional three billion Euro ($3.3 million US) to help districts and cities take in refugees and migrants.
The announcement came during a meeting between senior coalition members and Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Over the weekend 18,000 asylum seekers entered Germany after being detained in Hungary.
