The bodies of Alan Kurdi and his relatives have been returned to Syria. They will be buried in their hometown of Kobane.
Alan Kurdi grabbed world attention after his lifeless body was photographed on a Turkish beach. He, along with his brother, their mother, and 11 others, drowned while trying to escape from the Syrian civil war. The father, Abdullah Kurdi, survived.
