The mayor of Rutbah, an Islamic State-held town in western Iraq, said Monday that some 200 residents were being held by the terror group at an unknown location following clashes between ISIS terrorists and hundreds of protestors over the murder of a local resident.

An official said Saturday that 70 residents were detained by ISIS while over 100 more were tied to streetlights poles for 24 hours as punishment. Mayor Imad al-Rishawy said Monday that 200 residents are still being held and the town is gripped with fear they will be killed.
