A security officer was killed in Ukraine on Monday during violent confrontations between demonstrators and security personnel outside of the Ukrainian parliament in Kiev, the Minister of Interior announced.
Over a hundred security officers were injured as a result of the clashes, which included an explosive being thrown earlier Monday afternoon. The demonstrators had gathered outside parliament in a protest of a bill that would give separatist regions a special status.
