Germany: Soccer Game Breaks Down into Anti-Semitic Slurs

An amateur soccer game being played in Berlin yesterday (Sunday) ended with anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim slurs, in addition to two injuries.

Police say that a TuS Makkabi fan insulted a member of the other team. From there the insults and physical blows grew until more than 20 people were involved and the referee ended the game. TuS Makkabi is a Jewish team.

"According to witnesses, there were insults from both sides, so there were anti-Semitic as well as anti-Muslim insults," said a police spokesperson.
