Histadrut labor federation chairman Avi Nissenkorn met on Sunday with Minister Ofir Akunis, who is in charge of the Broadcast Authority, and with CEO of the Communications Ministry Shlomo Filber. Nissenkorn said that here will be no immediate layoffs within the frameworks of the Broadcast Authority reform. In addition, the appendix instructing for salary cuts worth 10 million shekels was removed from the proposed bill.
The Histadrut thus suspended all organization measures regarding the Broadcast Authority and agreed to immediately cancel the work dispute in the public sector.
