The Pentagon's inspector general is looking into claims that the US-led campaign against ISIS is giving false reports in order to exaggerate its successes.
According to the New York Times, at least one civilian analyst told his superiors that he had evidence proving that US Central Command officers were adjusting intelligence assessments. The fabricated reports were then given to senior government officials, even including President Barack Obama.
