A major suspect in the 1996 Saudi Arabia bombing that killed 19 members of the US air force has been arrested.

The Saudi-owned Asharq al-Awsat newspaper reports taht Ahmad Ibrahim al-Mughassil, the 48-year-old reputed head of Hezbollah in Saudi Arabia, was arrested in Beirut and extradited to Saudi Arabia. He is now undergoing interrogation.

Saudi authorities have not commented on the report.

The FBI has offered up to $5 million as a reward for anyone providing information leading to al-Mughassil.
