The Ulster Unionist Party has announced that it will likely leave the Northern Ireland Executive. Party head Mike Nesbitt says that the proposal was "unanimously" approved, but awaits a decision by the ruling body of the party.
The decision to leave came as a response to recent murders for which the police blame the Provisional Irish Republican Army (PIRA).
Nationalist Sinn Féinn party president Gerry Adams said on Sunday that all armed groups, such as the PIRA should disband.
