The Turkish military claims that it killed 34 members of the separatist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Iraq.
Turkey has been carrying out airstrikes against the PKK in both Iraq and Turkey for the past month. It claims that the strikes are in response to Kurdish attacks on security forces.
Critics counter that Turkey is overly focused on attacking Kurdish enemies and not doing enough to stop ISIS in Syria, which was the originally supposed to be the target.
