A prominent rival of Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas called on Monday for the ouster of the veteran leader as Palestinians seek to
organize a congress for the first time in nearly 20 years.
Mohammed Dahlan, once a leading figure in Abbas's Fatah party but now in exile in Dubai, called for Abbas' resignation and that the congress "declare null and void all decisions by Abbas and his allies because they are illegal."
