The lawyer for the man suspected of attempting a terror attack on a French train last Friday has offered an explanation for her client's action.
She claims that he "only" intended to rob people in order to purchase food for himself, and that he is not a terrorist.
French media says that the suspect, Ayoub el-Hazani, is a 26-year-old Moroccan citizen and is known to be a member of Islamic groups in three countries.
