An Egyptian source told Al Arabiya news that the four Palestinian Arabs captured in Sinai were officers in Hamas’ military wing, who were on their way to take part in Hamas meetings in Turkey.
The source denied that the four were members of Hamas’ naval commando unit arrested by Egyptian defense forces, claiming that “If Egypt had any reservations regarding the ‘Palestinians,’ they would not have been allowed into Egypt in the first place.”
