Turkey's Supreme Electoral Council has proposed holding parliamentary elections on November 1, according to officials in the ruling Justice and Development party.
Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu officially ceased his attempt to create a new coalition earlier this week, and returned his mandate to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
