UNRWA has announced that it received enough donations that it will not have to delay the beginning of the coming school year.

The group has been warning of its $101 million deficit for some time but was unable to come up with the funds to cover the debts. It now says that it received $70 million from Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, the US, the UK, and Sweden over the past week.

UNRWA, the organization dedicating to helping Palestinian refugees and the largest organization within the United Nations, is responsible for educating about 500,000 students.
