The summer vacation and extreme heat has led to a significant decrease in blood donations and a severe lack of certain blood types stored in the Magen David Adom (MDA) blood bank. MDA thus called to the public to come out and donate blood.
“The decrease in blood donations is causing difficulties in the supply of blood to hospitals. This is likely to lead really hurt medical activity and delay surgeries,” the organization announced.
