Former Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has denounced the a parliamentary report blaming him and other senior officials for the fall of Mosul.
Maliki used Facebook to give his interpretation of the events: "What happened in Mosul was a conspiracy planned in Ankara [Turkey], then the conspiracy moved to Erbil [Kurdistan]."
The report said that Maliki and others were responsible for ISIS taking over the central city of Mosul.
