Local sources say that an airstrike by the US-led coalition against ISIS killed eight civilians, including five children, last week. The target for the attack was a munitions factory, though the explosions also destroyed several nearby homes.
The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and Dother monitoring groups have warned that the US is not sufficiently careful about avoiding civilian casualties.
Despite this, there have been no large-scale calls to boycott the US and other coalition members, nor attempts to file charges at the International Criminal Court.
